Who We Are
Didi Ananda Ruchira, Director
Didi (Sister) Ananda Ruchira has been the driving force behind this work since 1998. She is chairperson of the Kenyan Society of Homeopaths and a member of the national executive board of the NATHEPA. She has been honoured as a Fellow of KIAM. Didi is a yogic nun of Ananda Marga for 30 years and a homeopath since 1997.
JK "Jaddu Rawi" Ng'wena, Programmes Manager, Board Member
Rawi has extensive experience in management and active in civil society organizations for HIV awareness and advocacy. As a counsellor for HIV clients, he brings compassionate understanding to his management activities. He also sits on the executive boards of Kecofatuma and Kidoga Society
Calvin Otwori, Homeopath Instructor, Board Member
Calvin joined Abha Light as a student in 2000. After finishing his certification, he has been active homeopath, treating thousands of patients. Calvin teaches at the Abha Light College.
Steve Smith, Homeopath, Board Member Steve came in contact with Abha Light in 2003 as a volunteer. A year later, he returned to Kenya to establish the Toru Health Centre. Located just on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway, the clinic soon became renowned for its quality healing. Steve expanded the work to establish another successful Toru clinic at Kambi-mawe.
Dr. Ameet Aggarwal, ND, Board Member
Dr. Ameet Aggarwal, B.Sc. ND, is a naturopathic doctor and a graduate from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Ameet is registered with the Ontario BDDT-N, the British Columbia CNPBC, and is licensed with the Kenya Ministry of Health. Dr. Aggarwal is also a post graduate from the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and uses gestalt therapy in his work with naturopathic medicine. Currently he is practicing in Vancouver and White Rock, BC.
Sorcha Sickinghe, Homeopath, Board Advisor
Sorcha first joined our family in 2003 when she came to Kenya as a volunteer. She has been a steady support and advisor to our family of homeopaths and students. She lives in Natherlands.
